How to delete an "undeletable" File
Case 1:
Open a command prompt and leave it open and close all the other programs.
1. Open run and enter “taskmgr.exe”.
2. In the taskmgr.exe go to processes tab and end process “explorer.exe”. (Leave the task manager open.
3. Using the command prompt change the directory AVI (or other undeletable file) which is located in. type DEL
4. Open Task manager click file - New Task and write “explorer.exe” and restart the GUI shell.
Case 2:
1. Save a blank notepad with the name of the undeletable file with the same extension of the undeletable file at the directory of the file.
2. This way is to replace the file and then delete it in the normal manner.
Case 3:
For these cases you may have certain problems in putting up the directory.
1. Start the command prompt and to move into the directory type: cd c:\***(The stars are for the folder).
2. If you still can’t access your folder than in that case instead of typing the full name put a ~ and then a 1 without spaces. For example type: cd c:\progra~1\kazaal~1.
3. Once you get up to the directory simply type “dir” in the command prompt and you will get the list of files in that directory.
4. Now type del
